Christine Abad, LMHC
Owner of Perdido Counseling Professionals, Inc.
Sometimes parenting and family life can bring unexpected challenges. It can be difficult to sort out alone. Whether you’re facing everyday struggles or a life-changing event, I am here to help.
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with experience in treating children, teens, families, and young adults. I have enjoyed working in a variety of settings including community mental health, juvenile detention, crisis units, and schools. I understand the unique challenges of the military lifestyle and the difficulties families face with stressors such as deployment, reintegration, and relocation. I believe in a collaborative counseling relationship in which we work together to address issues that are impacting your family. I view the counseling process as a joint effort between us. My counseling approaches include brief solution focused therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and play therapy techniques. I offer individual, group, and family counseling with evening and weekend appointments available.
I have treated a variety of issues including anxiety, mood disorders, behavioral disorders, grief issues, and adjustment disorders. I enjoy working with children and their parents on building better relationships at home and school, and I look forward to meeting with you and your family for your first appointment.
